How to read the chart
The columns are Movement, Speech, Energy and Thinking/Attitude. Count slider positions from 1 on the far left to 8 on the far right. These are working example combinations, not the only settings that can produce each personality.
The US groups are Considerate, Outgoing, Ambitious and Reserved. In the UK, the first three group names are Easy-going, Energetic and Confident; Reserved stays the same.

Change an existing Mii’s personality
- Press X → Residents and select the Mii.
- Open the personality box at the lower left.
- Move the four sliders to the recipe you want.
- Check the personality name shown by the game.
- Press + to confirm.
If the name differs, check your left-to-right counting and whether your game uses the US or UK names.
Overall and compatibility
The Overall setting changes how the Mii expresses themself rather than selecting one of the 16 types. You do not need to delete a resident to change their personality.
Personality types do not provide a guaranteed romance pairing. MBTI comparisons are informal analogies, so use the in-game labels when following a recipe.
